This side event will spotlight the transformative role of the Continental Incident Management Support Team (IMST) in driving Africa-led coordination, from Mpox response to broader health security. Through storytelling, high-level dialogue, and cross-country learning, the session will showcase lessons on vaccination, surveillance, and sustainable system strengthening under the “4-One” principle—one team, one plan, one budget, one framework. Organized with partners including WHO, Gavi, UNICEF, CEPI, and others, the event will highlight progress, mobilize resources, and chart a path toward resilient, self-reliant health systems across Africa.
