The Regional Integrated Surveillance and Laboratory Network (RISLNET) is an Africa CDC flagship initiative aimed at enhancing self-reliance and health security across Member States (MS) in each region by linking their existing public health resources. This approach supports early detection, rapid response, and effective containment of public health threats, thereby advancing health security. This side event aims to facilitate high-level dialogue among regional health leaders, technical experts, policy makers and partners on the experiences gained from RISLNET’s launch phase, highlighting achievements and best practices, key lessons learned. strategic priorities and future directions to scale up across Eastern and Southern Africa.
