The African Union Commission’s Department of Health, Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development (AUC-HHS), in collaboration with the Africa Early Childhood Network (AfECN), UNICEF, and partners, will launch the Africa Country Profiles for Early Childhood Development (ECD) Countdown to 2030 during CPHIA 2025. This high-level event aims to elevate ECD within Africa’s health and development agenda, galvanize political commitment, and strengthen multi-sectoral action. It will also sensitize AU Member States, partners, and stakeholders to the importance of data-driven, innovative regional approaches for tracking and accelerating progress in early childhood development across the continent.
