The Africa CDC serves as the institutional platform that translates its vision of the New Public Health Order (NPHO) of cultivating partnerships built on trust, transparency, and shared ownership, and ensuring that collaboration delivers tangible impact for Africa’s people. At the margins of the Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA) 2025, the Directorate of External Relations & Strategic Engagement (ERSE), will host a side event on Shaping Respectful and Action-Oriented Partnerships for a Safer and Healthier Africa aimed at;
1. Taking stock of Africa CDC’s evolving partnerships landscape, drawing lessons from transformative models of respectful, trusted, and action-oriented partnerships.
2. Defining pathways to scale up the ‘One Team, One Budget, One Approach’ into operational practice.
3. Generate actionable, forward-looking recommendations for Member States, Africa CDC, and partners to embed partnership principles.
