AfricaCDC has prioritized youth engagement as central to its vision for the New Public Health Order. Through YES!Health flagship initiatives, AfricaCDC has institutionalized mechanisms that empower youth as leaders, innovators, and decision-shapers.
The Global Fund has been instrumental in reducing the burden of HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria across the continent, saving millions of lives and building stronger, more resilient health systems. Yet these gains remain fragile. A fully replenished Global Fund is essential to accelerate progress, scale up prevention and treatment services, and secure a healthier future for Africa’s youth.
Bringing these two agendas together — youth innovation and leadership through Africa CDC Youth Initiatives and youth advocacy for a fully replenished Global Fund through the YOUNITE Campaign — this side event provides a unique platform to highlight the indispensable role of young people in driving Africa’s health agenda forward.
