AfricaCDC has worked to institutionalise youth voices through various initiatives that aim to address the barriers young people face designing and implementing their innovative public health ideas by providing them platforms for and access to capacity building, collaboration, and policy engagement.
To guide its long-term engagement, AfricaCDC has also developed a Strategy for Youth Engagement and Participation in Global Health. The overarching objective of this strategy is to mobilise, engage, and empower youths in the promotion and realisation of Africa’s New Public Health Order. It sets clear guidelines across strategic thematic areas for engaging youths on public health across Africa.
