Neeraj Mistry

Dr. Neeraj Mistry is a seasoned public-health physician and global health executive with over two decades of experience spanning clinical practice, health policy and advocacy. Educated at the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa, he went on to earn a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Economics from the London School of Economics and has since built a career at the intersection of philanthropy, public-private partnerships and international development. 

Dr. Mistry has held leadership roles across major global-health initiatives, including founding service at the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and serving as Managing Director of the Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, where he focused on advocacy, resource mobilisation and multi-stakeholder partnerships.  His experience also spans the private sector, academia and multilateral engagement, giving him a distinctive ability to navigate diverse actors in global health. 

In his current capacity as Chair of the Stakeholder Group of the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP), Dr. Mistry brings his strategic insight and extensive network to shape the interface between European and African research-and-innovation ecosystems.  He plays a key role in guiding stakeholder input on scientific priorities, fostering collaboration and ensuring that clinical-trials infrastructure supports equitable innovation and health outcomes in developing countries.
