His research has significantly influenced public health policies and practices, particularly during the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone and the COVID-19 pandemic. Prof. Ansumana’s contributions extend beyond Sierra Leone, as he has been a Principal Investigator for the West African One Health Consortium, fostering collaboration across multiple countries. His dedication to research capacity-building in Africa has also been commendable, supervising postgraduate and doctoral researchers and securing funding for laboratory expansion.
