Prof. Rita Orji is a distinguished Nigerian-Canadian computer scientist and a Canada Research Chair in Persuasive Technology at Dalhousie University. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction, persuasive technology, and digital health, with a particular interest in designing interactive systems to improve health and wellness outcomes. Orji has received numerous awards and recognitions, including being named one of the Top 150 Canadian Women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). She is also a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) diversity ambassador, dedicated to increasing participation of women and minorities in computing. Orji has been a vocal advocate for women’s access to education and has been involved in various public speaking engagements and initiatives to promote research excellence and equity in STEM fields.
